This award recognises the importance of cybersecurity and governance to keep us safe online by celebrating a dedicated and innovative cybersecurity professional. This is an individual contributor category recognising Australia’s best female cybersecurity leaders driving innovation, strengthening resiliency, and influencing industry change.
Eligibility Criteria
The person eligible for this award must:

Identify as She/Her, She/They, or They/Them.

Reside in Australia.

Be working in a leadership role that is accountable for information security/ cybersecurity/ ICT.
-
Must have been in the relevant role and involved from inception through to delivery and responsible for the final project output.

This project may have been completed in conjunction with others, however, the person eligible for this award must have had significant ownership or input (over 50%) into the project.

The cybersecurity achievements you are describing in your entry must have been completed in the Australian market during the 25/26 Financial Year.
Assessment Criteria
What we are looking for in the entry:

Clear and concise communication of the problem at hand and how you have achieved your cybersecurity goals in the projects described.

Impact and effectiveness of the solution and ability to prioritise, assess requirements, deliver value swiftly and use data to monitor key performance indicators and risks.

Highly developed risk assessment and risk management skills balancing business value, customer and employee experience and security risks

Demonstrates deep understanding of IT security infrastructure technology stack, architecture, technology trends.

Demonstrates leadership qualities, ability to manage conflicting priorities, and influence the organisation’s cybersecurity and culture. They are a positive role model and provide leadership to their workplace by improving people’s awareness of Information Security and current threats.

Bonus points for the complexity of the security environment. This may include great use of data, personalisation, APIs, & integration, streamlined processing, automation, AI etc.
