This award recognises an individual who is transforming organisations and enhancing decision-making through the use of data. Additionally, this award recognises a distinctive business leader who has built a revolutionary data-centric program while guiding the project (and associated teams) to outstanding achievement through vision, inspiration, creativity, and commitment.

Eligibility Criteria

 The person eligible for this award must:

  • Identify as She/Her, She/They, or They/Them

     

  • Reside in Australia

     

  • Be in a data-led role

  • The technical achievements described in your entry must have been completed in the Australian market during the 25/26 Financial Year
Assessment Criteria

 What we are looking for in the entry:

  •  Clear and concise communication of how data is used to solve business problems

  • Clear and concise communication of your technical achievements - we want to hear about the technical complexity and options considered!

  • Real-world application and impact of your data solution

  • Commitment to continuous professional development and an appetite for learning

  • Active involvement in the digital community

     

Tip: When responding to questions, please provide as many numerical measures as possible - quantifying your success will help contextualise your submission for the industry judges.

  7. What is the purpose of your role within the organisation, and how does it align with its overall vision and goals? (100 words)

  8. Describe a significant data project you led. What was the business problem, how was the solution technically designed, and what were the project outcomes? Include metrics or commercial impact to illustrate success. (400 words)

  9. What challenges did you encounter during the project, and how did you overcome them? Additionally, how do you continue to innovate and evolve the organisation’s approach to data? (300 words)

  10. Explain your role and key responsibilities in the project, including how you collaborated with others to achieve success. (200 words)

  11. Share a key moment that shaped your approach to data leadership. What did you learn, and how has it influenced your work? (250 words)

  12. What do you do to ensure continuous professional development? e.g. learning about emerging technologies, certifications, leadership development/soft skills development (100 words)
