This award celebrates the best of Australia's talent in Product Excellence. From Product Analysts, to Product Owners and Product Managers and Product Leaders - this individual or team is delivering exceptional commercial results through product strategy, leadership, stakeholder management and more. 

For this category, Product Specialists are defined as owning the end-to-end product/ service design to deliver maximum value to both the business and customers, and may have various role titles.

Eligibility Criteria

Individual Nomination

The person eligible for this award must:

  • The person eligible for this award must:

  • Identify as She/Her, She/They, or They/Them

  • Reside in Australia

  • Be working as a Product Manager of a digital product or service

  • Must have been in a Product role (or equivalent) and involved from inception through to delivery and responsible for the final project output
  • This project may have been completed in conjunction with others; however, the person eligible for this award must have had significant ownership or input (over 50%) into the project
  • The achievements described must have been completed in the Australian market during the 25/26 Financial Year

Team Nomination

  • Be based in Australia

  • Have a minimum of 50% of team members identifying as She/Her, She/They, or They/Them

  • Be working collectively on a digital product or service

  • Have been involved from inception through to delivery and collectively responsible for the final project output

  • The achievements you are describing in your entry must have been completed in the Australian market during the 25/26 Financial Year

Assessment Criteria

 What we are looking for in the entry:

  • Clear and concise communication of how the product has been maximised for value with measurable impacts. Examples include new product design/launch, redesign or relaunch, significant upgrade/additional features added to an existing product

  • Demonstrated understanding of the target user/ customer and their needs and behaviours.

  • Creation of customer-centric experiences through the customer journey, with the ability to respond to them to drive the product's success

  • Ability to understand and influence business strategy through discovery and experimentation, prioritising value delivery and using data to manage key performance indicators and financial metrics

  • Highly developed skills balancing business and customer value

  • Demonstrates deep understanding of technology stack, architecture, and technology trends

  • Ability to lead teams, manage diversity and conflicting priorities, and influence the organisation’s product management practices and culture.

  • Bonus points for the complexity of the product or service enhancement - this may include great use of data, personalisation, APIs & integration, streamlined processing, automation, AI etc.

  • Commitment to continuous professional development and an appetite for learning

  • Active involvement in the digital community
